Analog front end,
commercial-sized sound,
without the overhead.

Built around a 32-channel Soundcraft Ghost, a deep rack of outboard, and a live room's worth of instruments (from a Yamaha C3 grand piano, a vintage drum kit, rhodes to a wall of synths and a modular). Assembled and wired by hand over many years, with the DIY aesthetic to match.

About

A new home

inconvenient.studio is my private studio. I'm Tim Coggins, a musician and engineer — it's mainly a personal space, though I take on outside projects now and then.Get in touch to talk about availability.

I also want it to be a room for the musicians who work outside the obvious lanes — improvisers, jazz players, indie and electronic acts, players from other traditions. If your music doesn't fit a template, it'll fit here.

The space

  • 40m²Live room
  • 15m²Control room
  • 12m²Booth / workshop

Who it's for

  • Solo artists

A full production chain in one room — write, track, and mix without handing the song off between studios.

  • Bands

A 32-channel console and a live room built for tracking a full band together, not one part at a time.

  • Pianists

A Yamaha C3 grand and a '70s Rhodes MK2, mic'd and ready — rare to find outside a commercial room.
